Helheim Island Update : In the shadows of the depths extension

The new update here, and it hit hard ! Many things has been changed/added.

“In the shadows of the depths” extension add the most scariest caves you ever experienced, and it’s only the beginning, as there is the part 2 coming soon : The cathedral – Catacombs, and the Laboratory – Where it all started (end game hardcore area)

On top of that we have a brand new custom safezone called “The Refuge”, new large mines in the desert where you can find ores (if you don’t loose yourself) Don’t forget the miner hat !

“In the Shadows of the Depths” Phase One update changelogs :

  • Map expansion (shores, islands) The map remain same size (3800), but have more terrain and much more building areas.
  • Improved terrain variations (more bumps to feel natural and add depth)
  • Textures variations and improvements
  • Removed Dome, replaced with Harbor
  • Removed 2 Stone Quarry (The map has too many quarries, removing some for balance)
  • Bridges overhaul
  • Trains expansion (Trains are now going all around the map with elevated train bridges and underground short tunnels)
  • Performance improvements
  • Building zones improvements
  • Added more custom caves
  • New monuments : Mines and Mines B (Desert), The Refuge (Safezone, replacing Outpost)
  • Added more forest to some areas
  • Improved Laboratory exterior visuals
  • Improved Cathedral details
  • Powerplant puzzle change : You now have to go near the scientists area complete and open the blue card puzzle gate.
  • Few other small changes

BUG FIXES

Fixed rivers water effect not working
Fixed a gate in Powerplant not opening entirely
Fixed holes in cliff rocks.
Fixed Ferry terminal underground not being closed as should been
Fixed Oilrig incorrect height position
Fixed bunch of other small issues
